About Heaton’s Haven Therapy
My name is Natalie McLaughlin. and I am a qualified and professional integrative counsellor. I offer individual in person, online and telephone counselling and psychotherapy tailored to your unique needs, drawing from a range of approaches to support you with the challenges that you are facing..
I am based in Heaton Moor, Stockport. Here, you will find a warm, welcoming, calm and confidential environment where your thoughts, feelings and experiences can unfold at your own pace. You will be met with empathy, compassion and genuine respect. There is no judgement, only a commitment to understanding you and your world and walking alongside you as you make sense of it.
Whether you are navigating a specific challenge, seeking deeper self‑understanding or simply feeling overwhelmed with life's challenges, Heaton’s Haven offers a place of safety, curiosity and connection as you move toward greater wellbeing and personal growth.
My approach is gentle and client led. I believe you already hold the wisdom you need, and together we can explore in your own time, in your way. I’m here to offer support, not pressure, and to create a space where you feel truly seen.
This is your time, your journey, and your sanctuary, a place where you can be your true authentic self.
My counselling approach
My counselling style is warm, down to earth, caring, and compassionate. I work in a gentle, collaborative way, creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Person Centred counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analysis. For clients who enjoy working creatively, I also offer the option to use art‑based approaches within our sessions. This can include gentle activities such as drawing, painting, or collage to support relaxation, focus, mindfulness, and freedom of expression. You don’t need any artistic experience, these tools are simply another way to explore feelings, process experiences, or find calm. I always work in a client‑led way, so creative methods are offered as an option, never an expectation.
I tailor our work to suit your unique needs, helping you move toward greater clarity, personal growth and emotional wellbeing.
